Whilst we primarily focus on attracting and retaining the most experienced and professional industry personnel, we are committed to the training, education and upskilling of our employees. To this end, we possess extensive and detailed training modules for blast hole drillers and blasting personnel, including an approved Explosive Mixing Vehicle course.

We are always looking for experienced personnel with high work ethics and a professional approach to their work.

 

ALL APPLICANTS MUST MEET CRITERIA BELOW:

  • Must possess a current motor vehicle drivers license or be able to obtain one for the state or territory in which the work will be performed.
  • Must pass a pre-employment medical examination and be deemed suitable for the position applied for with nil restrictions.
  • Must pass a drug and alcohol screen.
  • Must possess a National Police Clearance acceptable to our clients.

 

Additional information and requirements:

Drillers

Must be experienced in operation of Tamrock CHA1100 and/or GD5000 machines.

 

Driller Supervisors

In addition to drilling, we are always looking for working supervisors for our smaller sites where there is no full-time dedicated site supervisor. These positions are ideally suited to persons aiming to eventually move into a full-time supervisory role or those experienced drillers who don't mind looking after a small crew. Duties generally include managing spare parts and consumables levels, complete and submit daily and monthly reports and submit timesheets for pays, while still drilling and interfacing with the client as the company representative.

 

Drill & Blast Site Supervisors / Operations Supervisors

If you are a well regarded professional with a proven track record, then you are the person we are looking for.

 

Shotfirers

Extensive experience in all facets of blasting and explosives use is highly regarded. Excellent leadership and communication skills desired.

 

Fitters

Experience on Tamrock surface drills and GD5000’s is essential. Must have own tools and be able to work as a team member. Great conditions of employment and a very flexible package can be arranged to attract the very best fitters.

  11. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    I understand that:

    • 1. An offer of employment is subject to my accepting the terms and conditions of the Total Drilling Services Australian Workplace Agreement (AWA)
    • 2. An offer of employment is subject to providing Total Drilling Services with a current medical clearance for drugs and alcohol, and pre employment fitness .
    • 3. I must retain the employee Information Statement for a minimum of seven (7) days.
    • 4. If I choose to commence work before signing the Total Drilling Services AWA, and subsequently decline the offer of employment, I will be paid as a ‘casual employee’ under the applicable award for all hours worked.
    • 5. I am able to waive the requirement to retain the AWA for seven (7) days.
    • 6. I will be notified either during or at the completion of my three month probationary period if I have been assessed as suitable for this position and my employment is to continue.
